What is the signup process for Piryx?

To secure a Piryx account, please submit your organization's information by visiting the sign up page. Once your information is processed, you'll receive an invite code and link to activate your account. Upon activating your account, you can begin processing payments. Funds collected with Piryx Fundraising will then be automatically deposited into your organization's bank account.

Does it cost anything to sign up with Piryx?

Signing up with Piryx is free! There are no monthly fees, no startup fees, no contracts, and no initial costs. The only costs associated with using Piryx is a 5% + credit card fees (2.9% + 30 cents) on money that you raise through Piryx Fundraising, which includes merchant, credit card (Visa, MC, AMEX, Discover) and eCheck processing fees.

Are there any other fees I should know about?

There are no hidden fees for using Piryx Fundraising. You can create as many campaigns or donations pages as you wish, and not have to worry about any extra costs. There are other apps in the Piryx App Marketplace, some of which are free, and others, which have a fee, set by the developer of the application.

HOW DOES PIRYX HANDLE CHARGEBACKS AND DONATION REFUND REQUESTS?

Piryx manages your chargebacks for you. When a donor requests a chargeback from their bank or credit card provider, Piryx will attempt to reinstate the charge. However, on some occasions, a chargeback may stand. Under some circumstances, Piryx may proactively remove funds equal to the full donation amount from your bank account at the instruction of the donor's bank or credit card company. Piryx will provide you with notification in these circumstances.

For each chargeback submitted, you will be charged a $29 administration fee regardless of if the chargeback stands or is refuted.

On occasion, you or a donor will contact Piryx to request a refund. For these requests, we will credit the Donor their donation and will debit your account for the full donation amount.

Do I need a merchant account to process my donations?

No, you do not need a merchant account to process donations with Piryx. Once you have an account, you can quickly set up and process credit card and eChecks without having to setup your own merchant account.
